The Guardian: British American Tobacco tries to blackmail Ugandan smoking law

Apparently The British American
Tobacco Co. (BAT) is threatening
to stop buying tobacco from
709 Ugandan farmers if the
progressive anti-tobacco
legislation passes. Dr. Chris
Baryomunsi's bill clamps down
on the Tobacco Industry and BAT,
in retaliation has written a letter
stating it will no longer do
business with tobacco farmers
within the Dr.'s constituency.
