A Day to Honor the
efforts & contributions
of one half of humanity,
without which, none of
us would be here.
But remember when
Virginia Slims' motto
was "You've come a
long ways, baby"?
Besides being an
incredibly sexist and
condescending ad
campaign, it encouraged
women to take up
smoking their brand
as a way to gain some
sort of warped sense
of equality to men.
What women actually
gained from this was
a higher incidence
of lung cancer than men...
Google Virginia Slims ads...
so...
just how far have we come...?
