NBC News: Study finds smoking kills more southerners...

NBC News reports that smoking
contributes to 1 in 4 cancer
deaths in the U.S. The rate is
highest amongst males in the
southern states, with the
highest rate of 40% in
in Arkansas; while Kentucky
had the highest rate amongst
women with 29%. This can
also be attributed to the laws
about tobacco use and
consumption being generally
more lax in the south due to
Big Tobacco's direct impact
on the local economies as
Industry.
