A UK study finds that women who give up smoking extend their lives by ten years

This TIME Magazine article by Alexandra Sifferlin sites a
study of more than 1.3 million women between the ages of
50-65 showing that quitting cigarettes can almost eliminate
the increased risk of premature death.

Quitting is prevention.
