smoking and the annual
figures from those diseases
are said to increase the
annual death toll in the US
to almost 585,000, up from
the 480,000 figure of the
past couple of years. When
I wrote the book, the figure
was 440,000 in 2012. We are
experiencing an increase in
tobacco-related deaths globally
maybe because we're finally
getting it...too late?
