KGET: Push underway to raise California's cigarette tax

California also has the second lowest percentage 
of smokers in the fifty states, the lowest rate 
belonging to Utah.  Smoking doesn't have much 
traction in California anymore; and CA is one of 
only three states who haven't raised their cigarette 
taxes since 2000. A $2 increase is being sought.
